Although slavery is commonly thought to be a thing of the past, human traffickers generate hundreds of billions of dollars in profits by trapping millions of people in horrific situations around the world, including the United States. Human traffickers utilize transportation systems to transport their victims and the trucking industry has an opportunity to combat this heinous crime.

Truckers Against Trafficking

As a proud partner of Truckers Against Trafficking we encourage you to train your drivers on recognizing the signs of human trafficking.

Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) is an industry-recognized national non-profit with goals to eliminate human trafficking across the country. Encouraging drivers to be everyday heroes, their programs and training teach drivers what to look for to identify victims, and how to make the call to report these types of events.

Help your fleet become knights of the road and get certified as a TAT-trained driver. Watch a training video, complete a short quiz, and receive your certification, for free.

Know a driver that’s made the call? Nominate Drivers for the Harriet Tubman Award.

Truckers Against Trafficking created an award to honor members of the trucking industry whose direct actions impacted those victimized by human trafficking.

If you or one of your drivers has ever made a call on behalf of a victim of human trafficking, you could be in the running for TAT’s prestigious Harriet Tubman Award. The grand prize includes a cash prize of $2,500 and tickets to the awards gala in May. The deadline for the nominations is April 30.

The award is named in honor of Harriet Tubman, the famed abolitionist credited with using the Underground Railroad to transport slaves to freedom. She was never caught and never lost a passenger.

EROAD’s TAT Penny Drive

EROAD has been a supporter of TAT the last three years, giving annual donations. This January at EROAD, we implemented an employee engagement program – The TAT “Penny War” Fundraiser. To spread awareness and raise funds for this worthy cause EROAD challenged employees to make contributions with a friendly competition.

Donate, spread the word, and train your drivers!
