HOS Amendments NPRM Analysis/Survey Results

In August, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) announced the proposal to change five different aspects of the Hours-of-Service (HOS) regulations in the Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM) and sought feedback on the proposal. 

In response, EROAD conducted a survey of a wide set of trucking industry professionals, including its customer base and other carriers and private fleets across the United States. We also worked with several trucking associations to reach their members. 

We compiled the industry’s reactions to the proposed changes, organized and analyzed the data to share those findings with the industry, and submitted this information to the FMCSA on October 21, 2019. And we’re making it available to you here.
